Covid risk management

MOLESEY HEAD RACES COVID RISK MANAGEMENT                 2nd February 2022

All crews entering the Molesey Head Races must agree to abide by British Rowing and Government advice.

Before attending the Molesey Head all participants, officials, volunteers and spectators should self-assess for symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19). These are:

  • a high temperature
  • a new, continuous cough
  • a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste
or other symptoms of the Omicron Variant

If you have one or more of these symptoms you should not attend. You should follow NHS advice on testing and self-isolation.

If a crew is withdrawn by its coach because of the conditions, or if the Committee cancels certain combinations, a full refund of the crews’ entry fees will be made (see Covid Refunds under Competitors).

Please follow the guidance on keeping yourself and others safe. Every little action helps to keep us all safer.

Face Coverings
There is no longer a legal requirement to wear a face covering. The government suggests that you continue to wear a face covering in crowded and enclosed spaces where you may come into contact with other people you do not normally meet.

Social distancing
The event itself is outdoor. While no situation is risk free, the risk of infection here is minimal. When entering the Clubhouse for Administration or Catering normal social distancing guidelines should be applied.

Indoor areas of the clubhouse will be well ventilated.

Wash your hands with soap and water or use hand sanitiser regularly throughout the day.

Extra toilets will be provided and will be sanitised regularly.
